OAT Clinic and Medical Support: Access to doctors specializing in Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT), offering compassionate, evidence-based treatment.

Counselling Services: Dedicated mental health and addiction counseling to support individuals on their recovery journey.

Housing Support: Stable housing for individuals on OAT, helping them transition from treatment to independent living.

Food Program: Providing nutritious food support for housing and clinic clients, ensuring their basic needs are met while they focus on recovery.

We offer FREE Detox and Withdrawal Management for individuals suffering from substance use concerns in the catchment areas. We provide an addictions physician, nurse, relapse prevention worker as well as a counsellor. Six months of relapse prevention, and then 10 free counselling sessions. All services are offered free of charge. Services are also offered in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.

Provides psychosocial services and withdrawal/craving medication options to individuals who struggle with substance use dependence.

Clinics help individuals ages 16 years and up using opioids, alcohol, cocaine, and methamphetamines.

To be eligible for the program, potential service recipients must meet one of the following criteria: currently using opioids or history of opioid use, interest in harm reduction for opioid use, interest in methadone or suboxone, presently taking methadone or suboxone and want to transfer to a holistic program, or presently taking methadone or suboxone and want help with tapering off.

The Metis Indian Town Alcohol Association Program offers short-term, non-medical support for individuals with substance use disorders. Our social detoxification programs provide room, board, and interpersonal support to those in need of a safe environment for withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. Admission is open to individuals who are intoxicated or experiencing withdrawal and can walk with minimal assistance. This service is provided by Alberta Health Services and contracted service providers.

The 10 day detox program offered at Thorpe Recovery Centre is a required pre-requisite that all clients must undergo prior to enrolling in the longer term residential treatment program.

Medically Supported Detox
Hours of Operation: 24 hours – 7 days a week

In this program, we provide adults (18 years and older) with support and a safe environment as they withdraw from alcohol, drugs, or other substances. The program is voluntary and free of charge. The stay is typically 5 – 7 days, and while people are with us, nursing staff, physicians, and case managers are sensitive to the needs of clients during this time and provide 24-hour support and encouragement.

The Medically Supported Detox is located at 5246 53rd Ave.

George Spady Society’s Medically Supported Detox, offering a secure 31-bed unit in downtown Edmonton. Their expert team provides personalized care, including medical support, referrals to treatment facilities, mental health services, and housing. After detox, transition to our 10 post-detox recovery beds for continued support and safety. Prioritizing those in need of housing and treatment for mental health or substance use disorders.

Discover Narrow Road Home Treatment Centre, providing 24/7 detoxification and residential substance use disorder treatment. Our adult-focused services cater to individuals detoxifying from alcohol and drugs, with a dedicated team including addiction counselors, therapists, LPNs, and RNs. Eligible adults aged 18 and above with substance-related disorders can access our services through referral. Admission is confirmed by telephone, with voluntary admissions only. Wait times vary based on capacity, and our services are provided at no cost to individuals seeking treatment.

The Northern Addictions Centre is a 20-bed facility. It is a detoxification center service to help people who suffer from alcohol or other drug addiction. It gives the patients 24-hour care by the nursing staff and professional physicians. The drug rehabilitation program usually lasts between four to seven days. At first, when people come into the centre, they get a personal assessment to establish what will be needed and so plan the treatment. When a client completes detoxification, he is introduced to self-help groups for psychological help.

Adult withdrawal management services (detox) provide nursing care and physician support for a safe, supportive environment for people experiencing acute withdrawal from substances. Vancouver Detox has 24 beds, a physician available every day and offers 24-hour nursing care. This facility is generally used for those requiring medication to get through the detox process. Vancouver Detox also offers Daytox Vancouver which is a 6-week outpatient detox program for adults

Onsite Detox Program provides medically supported withdrawal management and recovery services, with a harm reduction approach. Operated by PHS Community Services Society and Vancouver Coastal Health, it offers individual rooms with complete washrooms for “Detoxing with Dignity”, and daily programs for physical support, cultural wellness, and recovery. Assistance in accessing permanent housing and other support services is provided, with dedicated supported housing available for transitioning residents. Onsite is located directly above Insite which allows them to provide treatment services for people the moment they make the decision.
