Thorpe Recovery offers 42-day Residential Addiction Program and takes a holistic approach to recovery that helps build resiliency and connection. Each participant takes an active role in their own recovery journey by attending lectures, participating in recreation opportunities, completing chores, and both individual and group therapy. These six weeks are challenging, but we’re here with you every step of the way. During this time, we’re focused on understanding the root of addictive behaviour and building a personalized recovery toolkit. If the client, counsellor, and referring body deem it necessary, the program length can also be extended to 60, 72, or 90 days.

Wait Time: We encourage individuals to submit applications as soon as possible to begin the admission process. Wait times can vary but will normally be between 4 – 6 weeks.

Intensive Treatment Program: A 10-week treatment program designed for women who want to stop the cycle of substance misuse in their life. The program includes Life Management Skills, Art Therapy, Sewing, Meditation, Yoga, Exercise, Relapse Prevention, Treatment Planning, access to trauma counselling post-treatment, personality testing, pre-employment workshops and more. This program is appropriate for women who are seeking an intense program of recovery, which includes group facilitation, group therapy and individual counselling support.

Mollie’s Place: Mollie’s Place is a specialized residential program designed for women who are seeking a safe haven from substance misuse but are not yet ready for an intense residential treatment program. Mollie’s residents are encouraged to participate in a modified treatment program at their own pace until they are ready to move over to the intensive program or go back home.

Mom’s and Tots: Women with children are expected to participate fully in the Peardonville House Intensive Residential program. Clients have the opportunity to bring their under-school-age children to treatment with them to share the family recovery experience.

If you live in the Fraser Health Authority catchment area covering the communities from Burnaby to Boston Bar, you may qualify for the Phoenix Stabilization and Transitional Living in Recovery Program. This 90-day program provides safe, structured and licensed residential addiction services. Using a bio-psycho-social-spiritual model, the program helps residents with health, well-being, housing, income, employment and quality of life. The program accepts applicants on opiate replacement therapies provided they are agreeable to being supervised by the Phoenix Centre’s sessional physician.

Methods are based on the tools of SMART Recovery and CRAFT Therapy (Community Reinforcement & Family Training). Meetings provide concerned significant others the tools they need to effectively support their loved one, without supporting the addictive behavior. These tools also help Family & Friends better cope with their loved one’s situation and regain their peace of mind.
